LEXINGTON, Ky. (October 7, 2020) – Each week, the NTRA will provide a rundown of those who have qualified for the National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) the previous weekend.
The NHC is the most important tournament of the year for horseplayers and is the culmination of a year-long series of NTRA-sanctioned local tournaments conducted by racetracks, casino race books, off-track betting facilities and horse racing and handicapping websites, each of which sends its top qualifiers to the national finals. The 2021 NHC is now slated take place at the Bally’s Events Center from August 27-29.

Will Daugherty of Lexington, KY, will be making his maiden NHC voyage in 2021.
Joseph “Kevin” Costello of Chicago, IL is now dual qualified as he prepares for his fifth trip to the NHC. Costello cashed for $10,000 when finishing 71st in the 2020 edition of the tournament.

Kenneth Mollicone of Somerset, MA will be playing in the NHC for the first time in 2021.
David Wolff of Holmdel, NJ will be a dual qualifier when he makes his fifth NHC appearance in 2021. Wolff is currently fourth overall on the NHC Tour standings.
