LEXINGTON, Ky. (December 4, 2020) Each week, the NTRA will provide a rundown of those who have qualified for the National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) the previous weekend.

The NHC is the most important tournament of the year for horseplayers and is the culmination of a year-long series of NTRA-sanctioned local tournaments conducted by racetracks, casino race books, off-track betting facilities and horse racing and handicapping websites, each of which sends its top qualifiers to the national finals. The 2021 NHC is now slated take place in the Bally’s Events Center from August 27-29.

 

Friday, November 27

Robert Little of Rensselaer, NY will be making his third NHC appearance in 2021.

Mike Sylvester of North Little Rock, AR will be making his seventh NHC appearance when he heads to Las Vegas in 2021.

Matthew Nixon of Alcoa, TN will be making his second NHC appearance.

Del Mar

Kevin Bogart will be making his NHC debut in 2021.

Mickey Hopkins of Redondo Beach, CA has qualified for his second NHC appearance.

 

Sunday, November 29

Kevin Kilroy of Kansas City, MO has qualified for what will be his second NHC appearance.

James Morgan will be heading to the NHC for the second time, having cashed for $12,100 during his first appearance in 2020.
