Belmont Park stewards agreed to allow the use of equine nasal strips for all horses racing at NYRA racetracks, effective immediately. The ruling resulted from a request by Art Sherman, trainer of Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner California Chrome who was attempting to win the Belmont Stakes and the Triple Crown.
