This Day in History: 2015-08-24
Stonestreet Stable’s Jess’s Dream won his long-awaited career debut at Saratoga Race Course. Jess’s Dream is the first foal out of 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra by two-time Horse of the Year Curlin. Jess’s Dream is named for late Kendall-Jackson wine magnate Jess Jackson, who owned both Curlin and Rachel Alexandra and long anticipated their mating, but died in 2011, a year before the colt was born.
