Racetracks and organizations from around the racing world will be represented August 18-20 at the 12th annual Track Superintendents’ and Arena Managers’ Field Day Presented by John Deere at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar, Calif. Attendance by racetrack representatives at the event—to be staged at Del Mar Arena—will also contribute to fulfilling NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance requirements for safety training and continuing education.
The gathering will feature a welcome reception on August 18, followed by two days of discussions, workshops and presentations on the latest technologies affecting track maintenance. A complete agenda will be released in the coming weeks.
“This is annually one of the most informative and collegial gatherings anywhere in the horse industry,” said Mike Ziegler, Executive Director of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance. “Professionals from all over the globe will convene to share technologies, research and best practices with the sole objective of promoting the safest possible racing environment.”
There is no charge for attending the Track Superintendents’ and Arena Managers’ Field Day. Reservations and preferred hotel rates—available on a first come, first served basis—may be obtained by contacting Heather Brown of the NTRA at 866-678-4289 or hbrown@ntra.com.
