Wise Dan, the Eclipse Awards Champion as Horse of the Year for 2012, is scheduled to make his first start of 2013 in tomorrow’s Grade I, $300,000 Maker’s 46 Mile Stakes at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky. Wise Dan has been installed as the 3-5 morning line favorite in the one-mile turf event that attracted a field of five.

Wise Dan won last year’s Breeders’ Cup Mile at Santa Anita to cap off a campaign in which he won all four of his grass races and five of six starts overall. His total purse earnings in 2012 were $2,622,037.

The Maker’s 46 Mile Stakes has a scheduled post time of 5:13 p.m. (ET) on Friday. Live television coverage will be provided by TVG.
