LEXINGTON, Ky. (Monday, December 22, 2014) – In advance of next month’s 44th Annual Eclipse Awards, where Wise Dan could win a third straight Horse of the Year title, America’s Best Racing has released the fifth installment in their eight-part series of online videos promoting the popular gelding as “The Most Interesting Horse in the World.” The satirical commercial, available now on AmericasBestRacing.net., dishes on Wise Dan’s tight friendships with Derek Jeter, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and George Clooney.

The fifth installment of “Wise Dan: The Most Interesting Horse in the World” can be accessed at: http://www.americasbestracing.net/en/the-latest/news-stories/2014/12/22/wise-dan-the-most-interesting-horse-in-the-world-no-5.

The video is also available on YouTube: http://youtu.be/UXcAYWK7xwo.

The first half of the series was released this fall in advance of the 2014 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, prior to the announcement that Wise Dan would miss the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury. The final three videos will be released weekly, on Monday mornings, between now and the Jan. 17 Eclipse Awards.

A perfect four-for-four in 2014, with three of his wins coming in Grade I stakes, Wise Dan is one of several deserving candidates in a crowded Horse of the Year field that also includes Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Bayern, Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner California Chrome, Breeders’ Cup Turf hero Main Sequence, multiple Grade I winner Shared Belief and Kentucky Oaks and Breeders’ Cup Distaff heroine Untapable.

Wise Dan, a 7-year-old gelding bred in Kentucky, has won 23 of his 31 career starts, accruing earnings of $7,552,920. Trained by Charlie LoPresti for owner and breeder Morton Fink, the veteran is likely to return to racing in 2015 as long as LoPresti deems him completely sound.

The Eclipse Awards, presented by Daily Racing Form, Breeders’ Cup and The Stronach Group, are bestowed upon horses and individuals whose outstanding achievements in North America have earned them the title of Champion in their respective categories. Those awards are voted by NTRA, Daily Racing Form and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB). Awards also are given to recognize members of the media for outstanding coverage of Thoroughbred racing.

Tickets to The Eclipse Awards ceremony are on sale for $400 each or $4,000 for a table of 10, also via Ravencraft.
