LEXINGTON, Ky. (Monday, January 12, 2015) – America’s Best Racing has released the final installment in an eight-part series of online videos promoting Wise Dan as “The Most Interesting Horse in the World.” Among other gags, the satirical commercial, available now on AmericasBestRacing.net., reveals that California Chrome looks up to Wise Dan and keeps a photo of the gelding in his stall.

Wise Dan is a finalist in two categories at Saturday’s 44th Annual Eclipse Awards – Older Male and Male Turf Horse.

The final installment of “Wise Dan: The Most Interesting Horse in the World” can be accessed at: http://www.americasbestracing.net/the-latest/news-stories/2015/1/12/wise-dan-the-most-interesting-horse-in-the-world-no-8.

The video also is available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n53u0nv6oAw.

The first half of the series was released last fall in advance of the 2014 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, prior to the announcement that Wise Dan would miss the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury. The remaining videos have been release weekly leading up to the Eclipse Awards.

Wise Dan, a 7-year-old gelding bred in Kentucky, has won 23 of his 31 career starts, including all four of his 2014 races, accruing earnings of $7,552,920. Trained by Charlie LoPresti for owner and breeder Morton Fink, the veteran is likely to return to racing in 2015 as long as LoPresti deems him completely sound.

The Eclipse Awards, presented by Daily Racing Form, Breeders’ Cup and The Stronach Group, are bestowed upon horses and individuals whose outstanding achievements in North America have earned them the title of Champion in their respective categories. Those awards are voted by NTRA, Daily Racing Form and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB).
