LEXINGTON, Ky. (November 8, 2019) – Tickets for the 49th annual Eclipse Awards, presented by Daily Racing Form, Breeders’ Cup and The Stronach Group, and featuring the announcement of the 2019 Horse of the Year, are on sale now. The Eclipse Awards are set for January 23, 2020 at Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino in Hallandale Beach, FL.

Eclipse Award tickets are available for $425 each or $4,000 for a table of 10. Blocks of rooms have been reserved for Eclipse Awards guests at The Diplomat Beach Resort. The NTRA group rate is available through December 28 and additional details can be found on the NTRA website at https://www.ntra.com/eclipse-awards/.

The “black-tie optional” Eclipse Awards is part of a full week of events that will culminate with the fourth running of the $9 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) and the second edition of the $7 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1) on January 25. The inaugural Pegasus World Cup Turf was won by Bricks and Mortar, the first of six victories on the season for the son of Giant’s Causeway en route to stamping himself the favorite for Horse of the Year honors. Separate tickets to the Pegasus World Cup are available on the Gulfstream Park website at pegasusworldcup.com.

Eclipse Awards voting is conducted by the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB), Daily Racing Form, National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) member racing officials and Equibase chart callers. The Eclipse Awards ceremony is produced by the NTRA.

The Eclipse Awards are named after the great 18th-century racehorse and foundation sire Eclipse, who began racing at age five and was undefeated in 18 starts, including eight walkovers. Eclipse sired the winners of 344 races, including three Epsom Derbies.
