LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 11, 2021) – Each week, the NTRA will provide a rundown of those who have qualified for the National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) the previous weekend.
The NHC is the most important tournament of the year for horseplayers and is the culmination of a year-long series of NTRA-sanctioned local tournaments conducted by racetracks, casino race books, off-track betting facilities and horse racing and handicapping websites, each of which sends its top qualifiers to the national finals. The 2021 NHC is slated take place in the Bally’s Events Center from August 27-29 with the 2022 NHC set for January 28-30 at Bally’s.

Crystal Andaur of League City, TX has qualified for her first NHC appearance.
Alex DeVito of Norwalk, CT has made four prior appearances at the NHC.
Robert Fabbricatore of Altamonte Springs, FL has qualified for his first NHC.
Jim Murphy of Montville, NJ had made one prior appearance at the NHC, that coming in 2020.
Martin Quinn of Plumas Lake, CA has qualified for his first NHC.
Shaun Broderick has qualified for his first NHC.
William Smith of North Platte, NE is now dual qualified for NHC 2022. Smith has made seven prior appearances at the tournament, cashing twice for a total of $16,550.

Thomas Kuzdal of New Britain, CT will be making his first NHC appearance.
Christopher Dewey of Troy, NY has made three prior appearances at the NHC.
Charley Witt of Gilbert, AZ has made nine prior appearances at the NHC with his best effort coming in 2009 when he finished 24th and cashed for $1,100.
