NTRA TODAY IN THOROUGHBRED RACING HISTORY

October 1

: 2008 The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) announced the creation of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance that, along with widespread industry support, will implement the broadest and most comprehensive safety and integrity reforms in the history of the sport. The program became a forerunner to the Racetrack Safety Accreditation Program launched by the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority (HISA) in 2022.

WHAT WE DO.

The mission of the NTRA is to increase the popularity, welfare and integrity of Thoroughbred racing through consensus-based leadership, legislative advocacy, safety and integrity initiatives, fan engagement and corporate partner development.
